Had a vibration when braking. I thought maybe I had air in the lines. I paid them for a brake inspection. They said I needed all new brake pads, calipers, and rotors to fix the problem. This was gonna be $2000. I told them to put my car back together. I went and bought all the parts and fixed it myself. Upon removing the brakes this is what I noticed. All 4 sets of brake pads looked almost brand new. (Got Pictures) Calipers we’re all in perfect condition. Yes all 4 of them. The only issue was the front passenger rotor was cracked in half. So not only we’re they trying to replace perfect parts but they didn’t even catch the issue. I would call this robbery. They just wanted the money. It makes you think how many people they are lying to everyday to make money. I wouldn’t recommend ever getting a service done from them. So again, they wanted $2000 when the issue was a $75 rotor. Disgusting way of doing business.
Hi Dennis, I appreciate you taking the time to fill out a review for our shop. As you know, we completed a comprehensive brake inspection for your vehicle and sent you the digital inspection with accompanying photos of the faults. The charge for the inspection you paid would have been rolled into your repair if you chose to move forward. As brakes are a crucial part of a vehicle’s safety system, we will not complete “band-aid” solutions, or half repairs. The safety of our clients and the community is top priority to us at Arndt Automotive and we pride ourselves on the quality of work we perform. Which is why when it comes to brakes, our policy is “the brakes must be operating as designed when the vehicle leaves our shop”. Unfortunately in your vehicle’s case, replacing one rotor does not solved the braking concerns you came in with. Thank you again, Dennis, I hope you have a great day.
